Background
With the increasingly large submissions to IES journals, the demand for reviewing papers has become a very challenging task for the editors when the quality and publication management are equally considered. This panel aims to provide a forum for discussion as how we can go forward to further improve our journals so that a high standard of scientific and technical journals is maintained.
Aims of the Panel
This panel tries to discuss a number of issues relating to the quality of paper submissions and the review process so that a higher impact factor as one of many other indications for a quality journal can be achieved. The main topics for discussion will be as follows:
- Impact Factor
- Method of determining a paper that falls into the category of accepted/reject/minor/major
- Method of select/find a relevant reviewer
- Responsibility of Associate Editor
- Management under EIC
